Shirley Vauvelle

Shirley’s hand-built stoneware sculptures convey her emotional connection to nature, with scale, power and vulnerability in her natural environment. She communicates through shape, surface, texture, and colour in an abstract way, incorporating smaller porcelain elements that can be playfully altered to change the outcome. She works full time from her studio located in between Scarborough and Filey.
