Niraja Pahuja

I’m a ceramic artist from India, now based in Dorset. My relationship with clay began during my work as a holistic counsellor, when art therapy revealed its grounding and transformative nature. From my home studio, I create contemplative vessels, often starting with the circle—a sacred, universal symbol of self. My making is intuitive: I carve painterly marks and geometric lines that spiral inward or radiate outward, reflecting journeys of healing and wholeness. Through rhythm, repetition, and quiet form, my ceramics invite stillness and reconnection, telling stories of softness and strength, and honouring the beauty of embracing the whole self.
