Michelle Young-Hares

My work is an attempt to communicate a meaningful connection with the natural world through a joyful expression of form, texture, and pattern in clay. I like to play with scale and context, exploring the interesting space between the known and unfamiliar.
Pieces are a combination of thrown and altered, handbuilt and textured clay, multiple fired and stoneware glazed.
