Michelle Young-Hares

Michelles’ sculptures aim to communicate a meaningful connection to the natural world through the joyful expression of form, texture, and pattern in clay.

Using macro photography to magnify and study the structure and growth patterns of plant forms, she interprets them back into clay structures that shift attention between the known and unfamiliar.
