Joseph Ludkin

I create reduction-fired pottery in my studio in Rainton, North Yorkshire. While I draw on influences from Japanese, Korean, and British studio pottery traditions, my work is also shaped by the local landscape. Using raw materials sourced from the surrounding area, my pieces respond to the region’s dramatic topography and its strong history of pottery and industry.
