Thrown on the wheel and (sometimes) altered/faceted/impressed, the pots are slipped and wood fired in an anagama kiln for four days and nights. Glazed only on the inside, they are decorated by flame, fly ash and scallop shells. Also, sparingly, with calligraphic brushwork in a black slip. They range in size from shots (2″) to tall bottles (2′).
