Hannah Billingham

I create thrown vessels with porcelain or stoneware, and decorate using slip trailing, entirely freehand, to create symmetrical dotted patterns that span around the piece. I test and develop glaze recipes and apply lustres to accentuate the subtle surface texture. I aim to create sculptures that evoke a reaction in the viewer through their precision and ethereal appearance.
