Throwing in porcelain I create shapes influenced by my interest in traditional Chinese and Japanese ware.
My decorative process involves the making and then tearing of beautiful pattern to create abstract meaning in response to both childhood memory and historical reference. Stories are recorded on paper then torn apart and rewoven onto each surface.
