Asia Szwej-Hawkin

Asia makes contemporary pottery and ceramics, combining modern and traditional aesthetics.
Her decorative and functional pieces are mainly slab-built in earthenware or thrown on the wheel in stoneware clay.
Asia gives her pots a slightly distressed look by applying different coloured slips, and decorating them with bespoke photocopied transfers and ready-made decals. Her unique trademark is inlaying bases of the pots with slips and underglazes.
