Forming part of my “Perfect doesn’t grow on trees” series, this work challenges our society’s obsession with perfection by introducing elements of randomness and highlighting imperfections. The bone china and porcelain bowls are cast and then saggar fired in the kiln with metals, oxides and other combustible material to produce unpredictable colours and patterns.
